Melissa J. Griest 41, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2009, at Deaconess Hospital. Melissa was a member of Mill Road Baptist Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed her family and friends. Melissa is survived by her husband, John Griest; daughter, Brittney Griest; sons, Jacob Griest and David Pruden, both of Evansville, IN; and Joseph Griest of Crofton, KY; Granddaughter, Alissa Griest, of Crofton, KY; sister, Kimberly Cunningham; brother, Jeff Cunningham, both of Evansville, IN; and mother and father, Kenneth and Marilyn Cunningham, of Evansville, IN. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 17th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Avenue, Evansville, IN 47710; Funeral services will be held on Thursday, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Reverend Kellough and Brother Darnell McIntosh officiating. Burial will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to any branch of Fifth Third Bank to help the family with funeral expenses.
