Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 25, 2025.
Mia Jones (Barbara Jo Nall), of Birmingham, Alabama, died peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2025, at her beloved home in the loving company of her husband Charles.

Born in Eastlake on March 2,1955, Mia went by Bobbi Jo as a child, then B.J., then Basie, until settling on Mia as her grandmother name. She was a free spirit and was always recreating herself.

Mia loved cats, dancing, fashion, blues music, crochet, and losing herself in a good book. Her favorite flower was the daffodil, the flower of her birth month, and a signal that warmer weather was on the horizon.

She is survived by her husband Charles Jones, her daughter Courtney Andrews, and her granddaughters Ever and Ollie. Other family members include Bette Lee (Sis), Powell Nall (Sonny), Joey Stalnaker, Barry Stalnaker, Cheryl Humpherys, Wayne Nall, and serveral others who loved her very much.

A sweet sensitive soul, who was always looking for a fun adventure, Mia's family and friends loved her dearly and will miss her always.

Mia's ashes will be sprinkled over a bed of daffodils at her home.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for February 22,2025 at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Ireland Room. The service will begin at 1pm.

Mia´s appearance and home were a reflection of her bright and colorful personality. Forever thanking God for allowing us to coincidentally meet. There was not a family event she and Charles ever missed since we met them. May she rest in peace.
