HUNTLEY - Michael J. Andrews Sr., 67, of Sun City Huntley, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at his home.
He was born Oct. 25, 1940, in Chicago.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene (Skopec) Andrews; his children, Michael Jr. (Jennifer) Andrews and Brian (Anne) Andrews; his grandchildren, Michael III, Amanda, Christine, Rob, Anthony, Ryan and Megan; his mother, Mildred; his brothers, Walter (Karola) Andrews and John (Gina) Andrews; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Andrews.
The visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at Willow Funeral Home, 1415 W. Algonquin Road, Algonquin. He will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral Mass is celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at St. Mary Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Inurnment will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Huntley.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 143 First St., Batavia, IL 60510, or Monarch Hospice, 3115 N. Wilke Road, Suite H, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.

I was searching for an old friend I learned of Mike´s passing. I worked with Mike at Service America . Had not talked to him in a long time. Mike was the best and I´m sure he is in heaven. RIP. Bill Sullivan

Our condolences go out to the Andrew Family. I have known Mike JR. for several years through our business relationship which very quickly turned into a dear friendship. Having lost my Dad to cancer several years ago I understand the pain and the joy of having your father pass on to the next life. My God be with all the Andrews during this time of need. I'm joining so many others who are saddened by your loss. Your father is an example of true love and dedication to his family and it is demonstrated in his children’s legacies and the impact they have on our individual’s lives. This is especially demonstrated through the positive impact Michael Jr. has had on my life. These are lessons that only a father teaches their children: treat individuals fairly, be open, and caring. Our thoughts are with you and your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Michael J. Andrews Sr. Even though I only met Mr. Andrews one time, I could see the great person he was. I also see what a great father he was in my conversations with his sons, especially Michael Jr. who I have known for many years and is a dear friend of mine.
