Michael Audish Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 4, 2014.
Michael Wilson Audish was born in Houston, Texas on September 12, 1923 to Isar George and Willie Viola Audish. He graduated from Austin High School in 1942 and married the love of his life, "Rusty", on June 16th of that same year. While serving in the Army Air Force during World War II, Michael and Rusty developed relationships with fellow members of his squadron and their wives and these relationships were maintained for the rest of their lives. It was around this time that Michael and Rusty began their family and were blessed with three healthy boys, Carl Michael, Billy Loyd, and Paul Steven.
Being accustomed to hard work from an early age, Michael took up bricklaying as his profession and this allowed him to build several of the homes he lived in. When a back injury ended his bricklaying career, Michael went to work for Hertz and remained there until he was ready to retire. With his mechanical abilities he was able to plan, build and maintain most anything and was able to pass this knowledge on to his sons.
Michael attended church and bible study regularly and was a member at First Presbyterian Church of Pearland. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge 1172 for over 50 years. His strong faith in God guided him throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 71 years, Doris "Rusty" Jane Audish. He is survived by his three sons, six grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. He has left us all with an abundance of memories and he will remain dear in our hearts.

I was deeply saddened by the news of Ike's passing. I have so many good memories of him and Rusty and I am so glad I got to visit with him earlier this year. Ike was truly a kind human being and I was lucky to have known him. I will truly miss him. My heart and prayers go out to all of you and I pray that God will grant you all the strength needed to get through this difficult time.
