Michael Averinos Obituary
Michael lived in Marstons Mills and left this life on Feb. 19, 2009. He is dearly missed by his family and the many friends whose lives he touched through his work as a marble and tile installer, and his interests in woodworking, stained glass, computer technology, and motorcycles. He was a kind and thoughtful man who didn't realize his riches were beyond measure.
A celebration of Michael's life will follow the service.

I met Mike in the seventh grade, 1982, and we instantly connected. Throughout the past 26 years, no matter how much time passed, when we saw each other, we connected, it was as if time had stopped and we were right back where we left off. Michael was always so friendly in High School. He always went out of his way to say hello and share a smile. After BHS, I would see Mike around town every once in a while. I remember him telling me, proudly, about his tile business. I was so happy for him. God bless the Averinos family during this most difficult time. Michael, you will be missed.

I met Micheal through Karen at the salon, Absolutely Essential. I was so impressed with his kindness to both Karen and her lab Buddy. I watched as they moved from hairdresser/friend to a couple. Micheal's sweetness and willingness to do anything to help never seemed to end. I wish Micheal had realized that his presence in this world was a blessing to us all. The world will miss his great heart.

I met Mike this past summer of '08 when I needed advice building a waterfall for my pond. I had not known Mike before and he graciously came over at the beckoning of a mutual friend to help on several occasions. He pulled in my driveway fast and furious on his motor cycle, without a helmet, just shades,climbed off, dropped the stand, spun the bike in the opposite direction and I thought WOW Vin Diesel is here.
When he saw my first atempt at a waterfall he laughed, now I have "Niagra" Sounds like thats how he lived........What a nice guy. I wish I knew him more.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Mike will surely be missed.

I had not seen Mike since I left the Cape in the early 90's. We spent a lot of time riding motorcycles, 4- wheeling and hanging out at craigville beach. He will be missed by a lot of people. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

To all Michael's family and friends, I'm so sorry for us all that we have lost him. There's a huge hole in my heart where Michael used to be. I considered him to be my family on Cape Cod and my best friend. He was always there for me, regardless of how busy he was or what time of day it was. That is a special quality that I have never found in any one else, and probably never will. His macho exterior masked the sensitive guy inside. I wish he could have shared his pain. There are so many things I'd like to tell him, and when I think of those things and cry myself to sleep at night, I think he will hear me. I love you, Michael. God Bless you
