MICHAEL J.
Age 95, of Port Vue, PA, formerly of McKeesport PA, died Sunday, February 13, 2005, at the Villa Angela at St. Anne Home in Greensburg PA. Born January 19, 1910, in McKeesport PA, a son of the late John and Elizabeth Tkac Ballas, husband of the late Mary M. Vereb Ballas, father-in-law of the late Henrietta M. Ballas and Charles C. McCutcheon. He was a retired Chemical Analyst at the US Steel National Works and a member of St. Pius V Church in McKeesport. He is survived by sons: Daniel M. Ballas of North Versailles. PA; Michael P. (Norma) Ballas of North Huntingdon, PA; John V. (Rita) Ballas of Houston. TX; Paul V. (Jean) Ballas of Indiana, PA; daughter: Mary E. McCutcheon of Port Vue, PA; 14 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; brother: John (Mary) Ballas of McKeesport, PA; sisters: Mary Pastor of the North Hills of Pgh., PA; Elizabeth Nichols of Erie. PA; nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Tuesday & Wednesday 2 to 4 & 7 to 9pm at the JAYCOX-JAWORSKI FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2703 O'Neil Boulevard, McKeesport. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 12:00 Noon in St. Pius V Church, McKeesport with Rev. John J. Keane, officiating. Entombment will follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum, North Versailles. Memorial Contributions may be made to either St. Anne Home, 685 Angela Drive, Greensburg PA 15601 or St. Pius V Church, 2911 Versailles Avenue, McKeesport, PA 15132.

Uncle Mike,
I have so many fond memories from Soles St. and Oak St. When I was in college at Pitt, I would see you on the bus on your way to downtown Pittsburgh. I think you were the first one to dance with Kathy at our wedding. We will all miss you.
