Michael James Collins

Sadly, on October 26, 2024, Michael J. Collins passed away. He leaves behind his loving wife of 29 years, Stacey Komin Collins; his sister-in-law and her husband, Jennifer and Marco de Palma; his brother-in-law and his wife, Jeff and Alyssa Komin; local nieces and nephew, Taylor, Jordan, and Jackson; many other nieces and nephews in the New Jersey and New York areas whom he loved very much; and his son, Brian. He was predeceased by his parents, Cyril and Lee Collins; all of his siblings, Kathleen (Tom), Cyril (Dottie), Regina (Ken), and Mary Lee (Bill); his son, Devin; his parents-in-law, Jerry and Darlene Komin.

Mike was born on March 30, 1944, in Richland Center, Wisconsin. He was a former Marine Corps Officer, who served in Vietnam. He became an FBI Agent in the Baltimore Division for 31 years, 16 of those on the SWAT Team. He met his wife, Stacey, at work and they married in 1995. They always referred to each other as the love of each other's life. After retirement, Mike continued to work, conducting security background investigations for the State Department and DOD. He loved helping to raise his niece, Jordan, and his nephew/godson, Jackson, when they were little. Mike thought it was so special that Jackson was born on his birthday. He loved to travel with Stacey and stay physically fit. Mike was a true Patriot and loved our country very much.

A military funeral and internment will be held on Monday, November18th at the Crownsville Veterans Cemetary. Please arrive by 12:40 for the prompt 1:00 service. A Celebration of Life luncheon will follow from 2:00-5:00 at the Severna Park American Legion Club on Manhattan Beach Road. Anyone who wants to speak may do so there.
