Michael Conley Obituary
of Middleport passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY.
Mr. Conley was born in Lockport, NY on June 7, 1954 son of Marie (Whitney) Conley and the late James Conley.
Mike has lived in Middleport all of his life.
He was a graudate of Royalton Hartland High School and he attended SUNY at Geneseo and had been President of Norco Machine & Sheet Metal Company in Middleport.
He and his wife SunneLou (Money) Conley were married November 19, 1983 in Middleport, NY.
Mike was President of the Lewis Wilmot Fund, was a member of the Middleport Zoning Board and he joined the Middleport Fire Company in l979 and the Exempt Firemen in l989. He was made a life member in 2004 and was President of the fire company 2006-2007-2008. His fireman's nickname was "Gonzo"
He was also a member of Holy Trinity Parish/St.Stephen's RC Church in Middleport.
Mike was an avid sports fan and Little League Baseball coach for years. He was a season ticket holder for the Buffalo Bills for 34 years.
He is survived by his wife SunneLou Conley, his Mother Marie Conley,his children Tamara (Matt) Stern of Middleport, Stephen (Jessica) Conley of Hilton and Catherine Conley of Middleport.
Also surviving are three stepchildren Eric Schumacher of Ovid, NY., Heidi Schumacher of Middleport and Erin Schumacher of Ohio, nine grandchildren Matt Schumacher, Amanda Schumacher, Briannyn Schumacher, Brooklyn Schumacher, Tyler Schumacher, Jake Stern, Max Stern, Noah Hardy and Alex Hardy; his brothers Timothy (Sherry) Conley, Patrick (Jackie) Conley , Thomas (Amy) Conley all of Middleport and Daniel (Charlene) Conley of Gasport and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and friends.
Friends may call Saturday from 7 to 9 PM and Sunday from 3 PM to 7 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 12 Noon at Holy Trinity Parish/St.Stephen's RC Church, 21 Vernon St., Middleport, NY where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Fawls.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials to the Conley family would be appreciated.

Have alot of great memories hanging with Mikey and the twins at the Bills Games. He loved to talk Yankees with me. Will surley be missed. Wished I had gone to some games this year.

Our hearts goes out to the whole family. Mike will be missed! Kim and I always enjoyed being in his presence. I especially enjoyed my time with Mike on the Middleport fire dept. softball team, at the fire hall and in his garage during Roy-Harts football games. God bless and our sincere condolences... I only saw him a couple times since school but he was great to talk to then too, so kind. My prayers are with you all to help you through this sad time. Grew up with Mike as he lived next door to my cousins. Great times and remained long distance friends since. Dedicated firefighter...life long die hard Bill's fan and a great man. Gone too young my old friend...rest in the peace of the Lord. Our prayers are with Sunne and the whole family.

My sincere sympathies are with the family and close friends of Mike. What a personality!! Have not seen him in many years but have no trouble picturing his smile, hearing his laugh and remembering his zany humor and antics as a teenager. Rest in peace Michael.

We started keeping company with the Conley boys at Bills games about 15 years ago. Mike was one of the warmest and welcoming people I have ever met. Though I would only spend a little time with him every fall I came to think of him as a good friend and feel lucky to have known him. To all of his family, my most heartfelt condolences.
