Michael Conway

Michael Edward Conway, age 82, of Tuscumbia, Alabama, passed peacefully on August 3, 2025, at his home with his wife by his side. Michael was born on January 18, 1943, in Inwood, N.Y. He grew up in Inwood and spent his schooling years attending Good Shepherd Catholic School and Christian Brothers Roman Catholic Seminary, until he graduated at 18 yrs. After this, he began a 33 year career at GMAC, where he retired as a general manager in the financial division. After retirement, he obtained his real estate license and worked part time for Century 21. In between this time, he married and had three children, Noreen, Patrick and Deborah. He loved to play golf, watch football on Sundays, a well manicured lawn, a good laugh and staying current on news and events going on around the world.

Surviving family includes his wife, Tonya Conway, oldest daughter, Noreen and her husband Timothy Chastain, his son Patrick Conway, youngest daughter Deborah Conway, his grandchildren Patricia Noble and Nicholas Chastain and step-son Jeffery Naylor his wife Irma. His preceded by his father Joseph Conway, mother Kathleen Conway, brother Andrew Conway and former spouse Cathleen Conway and step-son Eric Hutson.

Michael asked for no formal service and he will be cremated. His ashes reside with his current wife. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Support Community, in his memory. He will be remembered as generous, hardworking, creative, loving the arts & music and his dedication to his loved ones.

His legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, love and memories we will always have.
