Michael Lee Diuguid

Michael Lee Diuguid, 68, passed away May 10, 2023 in Las Vegas, NV. He was born to Sam and Jean Diuguid on March 21, 1955 in Downey, CA.

Michael proudly served in the United States Navy for 11 years, rising to the rank of Chief while serving on the USS Flasher and the USS Puffer. While in the Navy, Michael visited many countries, and a passion for travel began. After leaving the Navy Michael traveled extensively including trips to the Maldives, Mexico, Canada, and all over the United States. Michael engaged in many hobbies including scuba diving, photography, reading, hiking, bird watching, and just being outdoors.

In 1983 he married Claudette Elaine Cypher, and they shared 25 years of marriage. Michael bravely took on and loved as his own her three teenage children. The five of them had many adventures over the years.

In 2010 Michael reunited with and married his lost love, Renee, with whom he shared a great love, much laughter, many adventures, and lots of happiness. After Michael's Alzheimer's diagnosis, Michael and Renee packed up the car and took an extensive road trip which brought them many new experiences.

Michael was a warm, compassionate, generous, loving, funny, thoughtful man. He was always willing to help anyone at a moment's notice. His gregarious nature was infectious, encouraging those around him to join in and help as well. Michael was a beautiful person who was loved by many. He will be greatly missed.

Michael is survived by his wife, Renee, his children Stacy James (Mark), Shannon Myers (Ric), and Paul Cypher (Audrey); his granddaughter Lily Sophia and stepchildren Jeanette Starpine (Cassie), Jordan McConnell (Madi), and his brother Dave.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held on May 23rd at 4pm in the Solera Stardust Room, Henderson, NV.
