Michael A. Doneson Jr.

Michael A. Doneson, Jr, 29, died May 14, 2010. He was born May 08, 1981 in Tucson, AZ, the son of Michael and Margaret (Bederman) Doneson. He graduated from Western High School in 1999, where he was a member of the National Honor Society. He graduated from Las Vegas College with an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2004. He recently enrolled at University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) in the nursing program.
Michael enjoyed serving his country in several ways. He enlisted in the National Guard and then the US Army. He held multiple positions in AmeriCorps. In 2007, he moved to Reno to fill a position for Habitat for Humanity. This May, he had just returned to Las Vegas to attend classes at UNLV to switch to a nursing career.
Michael is survived by his mother, Margaret of Reno; his father, Michael of Apache Junction, Arizona; his sister Jeanette Bederman of New York City; his brother, Matthew Doneson of Las Vegas; his sister-in-law, Diana Doneson; his nieces Gabby Robinson and Lilly Doneson; and his nephew, Levi Doneson . He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Helen Bederman, of New York City. He is also survived by his special friend, Chantel Moyes, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral arrangements were held on May 19 at Palm Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada. Another memorial services will be held at The Sands in Reno, Nevada.
