Michael Downie Obituary
With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our old soul Mike, Dad, Papa, on Wednesday, March 7th, 2019, at the age of 74 years. Loving father of Randy, Kelly and her husband Kraig. Cherished papa and best bud of Cole and step papa of Keely, Hannah and Ashely. Dear brother of Deb and her husband David. Uncle of Adam and Lauren. Loving son of the late George Downie and Betty Downie. Good friend to Barb Downie, Des McShane and Vivienne Montague. Mike was a man of few words but those words always let you know how much you were loved. His family was something to which he was committed and when you needed him he was always there. We feel truly blessed to have spent a magical week cruising the Caribbean with him, enjoying the sunshine and celebrating together at Kelly and Kraig's wedding. Our memories of this trip and the kind and wonderful man he was will be with us always. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME 847 King St. W. (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, March 12th, 2019 from 2:00 pm until time of Celebration of Life service in the chapel at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to www.horse-canada.com. Online condolences may be made at www.oshawafuneralhome.com
