Michael Giles Obituary
Mr. Giles was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who loved being around his family. He served his country in the United States Navy for four years and afterward worked for Dow Chemical as a welder. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed watching their games.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Giles of Apple Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Naomi and Tony Goins of Apple Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Edgar and Dawn Giles of Magnolia; son, Henry Giles of Apple Springs; grandchildren, William Goins, Lexi Giles, Chase Giles, Matthew Goins, Michael Logan Giles, Zach Dye, Judy McGuire, Kelly Selby, and many other children who have shared their home; brother, Don Pate of Apple Springs; and sister, Betty Jean Phillips of Lufkin.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Giles was preceded in death by his brother, Doug Giles; and daughter-in-law, Lynda Giles.
Cremation services have been placed in the trust of Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home.
