I have been in search of my friend on and off for some time now and I was saddened to find this! Mickey was a brother to me and if it wasn't for him I would not have made it in St. Louis. He gave me my nickname, Crash and it stuck the whole time I lived in St.Louis. I learned so much from him and have so many memories I cannot share them all here. I have missed you brother and think of you often, I will never forget that time in my life!!!!!

Big Mick really knew how to tell a story, but he made memorable stories like nobody I've ever met. I remember when I first met him at a little to-do put on by our landlord when we were neighbors at 8th & Russell in Soulard. He was eating boiled peanuts (bowwwwllld peanuts) and drinking beer. The friendliest guy there ever was. Over the next 3-4 years, we made that neighborhood our home. He was a friend to everyone he met, and they all remember him, too. He was simply unforgettable. A regular at all the haunts: Allen Avenue, The Great Grizzly Bear, the 1860 and of course Mike and Min's.

He loved music, especially the blues and (real) country music. I think of him every time I hear George Jones, Merle Haggard or Johnny Cash. And he was Billy Peek's biggest fan! From local shows to the Soulard Mardi Gras parade and epic parties, Mickey had a zest for life that you seldom see. And such a kind heart, too.

I'll miss his Brunswick Stew and his percolated coffee. But I'll always remember the friend, the roommate and the man that he was. Rest in peace, tell Corey I said 'hi.'

The kindest most generous guy ever. Wierdly wonderful sense of humor. He and I were part of an ERO CPI group that took a trip tp Mexico. We found a nonEnglish speaking taxi driver to take us to the Mayan ruins. Had a blast. I miss him. Same trip,6 of us went deep sea fishing. Got some fish. All got seasick. Big fun. Loved kids. Would have been a great dad.

I knew Mickey for many years- at work and also out side of work. He was truly a nice guy. Will miss running in to him at Hodak's! RIP my friend.

I am so sorry to learn of Mickey passing away. He was a terrific guy, always willing to lend a hand, and great to work with. He organized so many great times in Soulard and it is hard to forget his "Howl at the Moon" sessions at the DM meetings. Mickey, you will truly be missed by everyone that knew you.

Mickey was a fine guy, a man of many tales and could spin a story with the best of them! Mickey loved to laugh and encouraged others to laugh as well. Mickey had a huge heart and always made you feel welcome! Mickey's photographer skills allowed him at one point to trade a sideline photo of Uga for a car door for his 67 Camaro with Hurst shifter. Mick never met an oyster roast he didn't like...riverside, gunny sack covering a nice mess of oysters, popping back those shells drew great delight from Mickey!! He will surely be missed in the blues joints, at the family gatherings and any social scene he could make. Lord THANK YOU for the MICK!!
