Michael E Jobe

April 11, 1953 August 24, 2024

It is with heavy hearts we announce Michael E. Jobe went home to our Lord and Savior on August 24, 2024. He was proceeded in death by his father, Howard Richard Jobe, his mother, Madelyn Frances Miller McDonough and older brother, Howard Edward Jobe.

Michael resided in Pensacola, FL with his loving wife, Sharon. He was a Savannah native and grew up living in the Bona Bella area. He served in the Marine Corp and made a career with Otis Elevator Company for 35 years. He loved music and even taught himself to play the guitar by ear. Other qualities and passions consisted of love for his family, fishing, hard work ethics, love for his country, his dog Madi and the Georgia Bulldogs. His easygoing temperament and outgoing humor were as infectious as his smile. He had a memory full of jokes and always kept those around him laughing. He will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Loved ones left behind are his wife, Sharon Johnson Jobe of Pensacola, FL, son Shawn Jobe (Catherine) Guyton, GA, daughter Maggie Jobe Guyton, GA, son Christopher Rahn (Ana) Pensacola, FL and son Bradford Rahn (Katie) Clarkston, MI along with his grandchildren Isaiah, Arabella, Alexander, Gabby, Emery, Briggs and Cason. He truly was a great brother! All I have now are great memories of him but one day in heaven we will be together again. I always loved to hear him play his guitar and sing. Our mama loved to hear him sing Johnny Cash songs especially " A boy named Sue" . I know mama was thrilled to death to see him when he got there! I am definitely going to miss him but I know where he is so that gives me peace. I love you Mike Jobe! Always and forever! Your little sister Karen Sue

"I swear on my heart that he´s a good man
I promise he loves me, he´d never hurt me
You held me so tight now someone else can
But you were the first man that really loved me"

I played in the Joja Band with Howard Jobe for years. As a consequence, the rest of the band and I became acquainted with Mike and the Jobe family. Mike always had a smile on his face and a joke or two to tell. He loved music and he loved his family and we were lucky enough to him and sometimes the entire Jobe family present when we played. Those were fun times. Rest in Peace, Mike.
