Michael won the game of life. He was a kind, generous, giving man with a quick wit who always had a kind word-I don't think I ever saw him angry, not even when he ran out of vodka!! Rest well, Michael, and know that you succeeded. We will miss you. And Tracey, what wonderful memories you have to keep you warm and make you laugh! Live the remainder of your life as Michael would desire-live fully and well, with abundant love...

We had good times at the Preakness Horse Races. One year our bus broke down and our driver got out of the bus and walked away. We were standing on the side of a busy road and Tracey started calling to get us help. Michael said don´t worry Tracey will get someone and she did. We laughed about it later, but we were all a bit scared a crazy driver would hit us. Didn´t know Michael for a long time but from the first day we met him we thought what a gentleman.

This past Monday, in the stands at Daytona, several of us shared memories of races we watched with Michael over the decades. He always had a great attitude and was a fun fan to share the experience with. He is missed.

Michael always greeted me with a smile and a compliment. He had a way of making you feel like his best friend.

First of all, I had no idea Michael was now 88. When I learned that he passed away, I actually thought, oh no...too young. I haven´t seen him for some years but I always saw him as a person with an exuberant presence and a real zest for life. We served on the board of The Florida Theatre together and it was obvious it was a labor of love for Michael. He and his wife, Tracy, attended many concerts over the years and you could tell they really enjoyed live music. I know he will be missed by his friends and family but as they well know, he was a guy that made a difference.
