Michael Masters

Michael Allen Masters, 71, of Austin, TX, passed away on August 21, 2023. Born on September 27, 1951, in Greenville, South Carolina, Mike was a loving father and grandfather.

Mike had a vibrant personality that made him approachable and friendly to everyone he met. He had a remarkable ability to strike up conversations and make people laugh with his frequently off color sense of humor.

As a father, Mike was devoted to his two daughters, Cristina and Katie. He was a constant source of love and support for them throughout their lives. Cristina Masters and her husband Andrew Durham, along with their sons Joey and Gabriel Masters-Durham, survive Mike. Katie Boland and her husband Matthew Boland, along with their son Cameron and their daughter Hannah, also survive him. Mike's former wife Susan Masters also mourns his loss.

Mike attended Chelmsford (MA) High School in his youth. After graduating, he went on to serve his country in the US Army from 1976 to 1996. Mike's dedication to the military was unwavering, and he proudly served his nation during his 20-year tenure.

In his leisure time, Mike enjoyed playing golf, watching Star Trek, and, most importantly, spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. He cherished these moments and created lasting memories with his loved ones.

Mike will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His infectious laughter and kind-hearted spirit will forever be remembered. May he rest in eternal peace.
