Michael Mele Obituary
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Michael was devoted to his family & is survived by his wife of 65 years, Louise Mele; daughter, Marguerite Burkhard & husband, Thomas of Damascus; grandsons, Michael Byrne & wife, Jessica of Southlake, TX, Matthew Byrne & wife, Shelly of Frederick, MD; four cherishedgreat-grandchildren, Blair, Regan, Madeline & Graham.He is also survived by sisters, Frances White, LaRita Clark, Alma Lebeck, Dorothy Silagi, Joann Jones, & brothers, James & Albert Mele.
He was preceded in death by brother, John Mele, & sister, Jane Christakos.
A viewing will be held atMolesworth-Williams, P.A., Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD, Wednesday, September 26, 2012, 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, September 27, 10:30 AM, St. Paul Catholic Church, 9240 Damascus Road, Damascus, MD. Father Joseph B. Pierce will officiate.
Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hospice of Frederick County, 516 Trail Avenue, P. O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD, 21702.
