Michael Anthony Monaco

Michael Anthony Monaco, 66, of Salem, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on March 16, 2025, following a brief illness.

Born on May 19, 1958, Michael was raised in Somerville by his late parents, Robert and Rose Monaco, alongside his nine siblings. He later moved to Salem with his wife, Rhonda (Engel), where they built a life together and raised their family.

Michael is survived by his wife, Rhonda; his daughters, Ali and her husband Yoni, along with their daughter Mariana, and Amanda and her fiancé Christian. He also leaves behind his siblings: Patti, Debbi, Steven and his wife Connie, Lisa, Paula and her husband Ray, Dena, and Alan and his wife Marie. He was predeceased by his brother Robert and sister Lynne. Additionally, he is remembered by his sister-in-law Lesley, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Michael found joy in life's simple pleasures-cheering on the Boston Red Sox, savoring an iced coffee and blueberry muffin from Dunkin' Donuts, and most of all, sharing laughter with those around him through his quick wit and humor.

Visitation will be held at the family's home on Thursday, March 20, beginning at 4 p.m. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Kaplan Family Hospice House and Rainbow Adult Day Center for their compassionate care and support.
