Michael Paul Muck, age 72, passed away on Jun 28, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 26, 1951, in Pulaski, WI, he grew up on a picturesque farm that instilled in him a life of steadfast discipline.
Following high school, Michael honorably served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War, where he operated on a patrol boat navigating the challenging inner delta waterways. After his military service, he returned to Wisconsin to pursue higher education and earned a degree from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.
Michael's passion for sports led him to a rewarding career as a coach, where he touched the lives of many young athletes with his fairness and strategic thinking. In 1985 Michael moved to California. Shortly after arriving in California, Michael met his wife, Lynn (Nebel). Their connection was immediate, and they went on to build a life together filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures.
He embarked on a new career in laminate product sales. With his exceptional interpersonal skills and strategic acumen, he quickly climbed the ranks, becoming one of the top-producing sales managers in the industry. His success was not only a testament to his hard work and dedication and also to his ability to connect and build lasting relationships in the tech world. Michael's profound impact on the industry was marked by his innovative approaches and his commitment to excellence. He continued to expand his network and influence throughout his career, setting high standards for those who followed.
In 1989, Michael relocated to England to spearhead the expansion of international sales and strengthen European relations for his company. Now married to Lynn Muck, he moved with her and his two stepchildren, Kurt, and Carrie, living abroad for two years. This experience not only broadened his professional horizon but also enriched his family's life, offering them a unique opportunity to experience diverse cultures and form lasting international connections. During his time in England, Michael's visionary leadership significantly boosted his company's presence in the European market, leaving a lasting impact on its global operations.
Michael was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, holding season tickets for many years. He attended dozens of games at Lambeau Field, where he cheered on his team through thick and thin. His commitment to the Packers was more than just a pastime; it was a lifelong passion that brought him immense joy and connected him with a community of fellow fans. His presence at Lambeau Field, often clad in team colors, became a cherished ritual, as much a part of his identity as any of his professional accomplishments.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Bill, and Patricia Muck. Michael is survived by his devoted wife and family, including children, Kurt (Amy) and Carrie (Tim); his grandchildren, Abigail, Waylan, Isabel and Samantha; his brothers, Randy (Lisa), Greg (Stacee) and numerous friends who were touched by his generous spirit, kindness, and humor. He will be greatly missed by all who know him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and
Leukemia And Lymphoma Society, which are both close to Michael's heart. Michael's legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him, and he will forever be remembered as a brave veteran, husband, father, son, brother and a cherished friend. Michael will be forever missed.
