Michael Silagi

Michael George Silagi, age 51 of Aberdeen WA passed away on Sunday May 24th, 2015 at the Aberdeen Community Hospital. He was born on July 22, 1963 in Aurora IL. Mike graduated from East Aurora High School in 1981. Mike was in many of the musicals and the choir in high school. He worked at car washes, Rax Roast Beef, National Car Rental, AAA Motor Club, Naperville Limosine Service, he was a manager at the Target in Naperville, IL. He worked at Naperville TV (NCTV), Tanning salons, Mike opened the first internet cafe in Downtown Naperville. In Washington, Mike had a landscaping business "Big Bear Landscaping". Mike moved to Tacoma Washington in 1995 after his mother Mary Silagi retired and moved to Vashon Island, WA. Michael and his mom enjoyed going out to eat together and the occasional road trip to the coast or the mountains. They loved visiting Mount Ranier. Michael spent the last 6 years with his wonderful life partner Alan Biggs. Michael was a very special individual with artistic and musical abilities. Michael loved the outdoors, gardening and landscaping, but what he was obsessive about was the weather. Michael equally loved the holidays, especially Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter, decorating the house and cooking traditional meals that could be shared with friends and family. Michael was an animal lover as well, rarely would he be seen without a four-legged friend close at his side. Michael is survived by his life partner Alan Biggs of Aberdeen; his brother Joseph (Sandra) Silagi, their 2 sons; George and Gibson of Vashon Island, WA; his sister Mary (Henry) Pable of Naperville, IL their 5 children; Christopher, Steven (Elizabeth), Brittany (Eric), Andrew, and Brooke and one great niece, Alexis. He was preceded in death by his parents; George and Mary Ann Silagi. Private celebrations of life will be held in Aberdeen, WA and Vashon Island WA.
