Michael Stahl

Michael Stahl, 63, of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at his residence. Born in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of Nina G. (Bellina) Stahl of Niagara Falls, NY and the late Charles R. Stahl.Michael was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. He attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. During the Vietnam War, he served as a Military Policeman in the United States Army from November 15, 1965 until his honorable discharge on August 24, 1967, and later served in the Army Reserve until 1971. For the past six years, Michael worked for the City of Niagara Falls Public Works Department. Prior to that he owned and operated a construction company in Niagara Falls. Michael was an avid sports fan and particularly enjoyed football, hockey and auto racing.In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by three children, Todd Patrick Stahl, Amy Lynn Stahl and Brandi Michelle Stahl, all of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren; one sister, Antonia (Richard) Shaffer of Columbus, OH; one brother, Charles “Butch” Chippolla of Boise, ID; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Catherine Shaffer. Friends may call on Wednesday from 3-8 PM. at the M.J. COLUCCI and SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will begin on Thursday, August 14th at 10:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. John de LaSalle Church, 8469 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Slawomir Siok, SAC officiating. Entombment with Military Honors will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
