Peacefully in Hospital on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the age of 52. Beloved husband of Annie Gingras and loving father of Aidan. Cherished son of Helen and the late Thomas. Dear brother of Martin (Linda) and Brendan (Michelle). Loving Uncle of Thomas and Cameron. Mike will be fondly remembered by his family and friends here in Canada and in Ireland. on Monday January 9, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday to St Elizabeth's Church for Mass of Christian funeral at 11 a.m. For those wishing, donations in Mike's Memory to the Ottawa Senators Foundation or to the Ottawa Integrative Cancer Centre would be appreciated.

Annie and Aiden, I had the privilege to work with and the honour to be friends with Mike. He was a kind and gentle man never had a negative comment about anything. I will miss him immensely. Dear Annie and Aiden, I know you probably won't remember but I worked with Mike a while back in the microfilm lab of Stats. I remember when you were pregnant with Aiden and how excited you and Mike were. He was a kind and gentle soul and it saddens me to hear this news. Sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He was a great friend. The boys have had many great days with him, playing sports, hanging out having laughs with each other over all the silly conversations, arguments over our differening sports teams and listening to him school us all on his knowledge of musical facts.
