Michael Welsh

Michael James (Buddo) Welsh 69 of Erie, PA was born on January 26th, 1956 in Dubois, PA to the late George Welsh and Frances Haag Welsh. Michael passed on March 22nd, 2025 surrounded by loved ones at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA. Michael is the oldest of 6 siblings including: Deborah Heilbrun, Thomas (Cindy) Welsh, Robert Welsh, Karen (Tim) Baxter, Sandra (George) Puhala, and Jeffrey (Tammy) Welsh. Michael has two loving daughters: Tiffany Welsh 31 of Erie and Amber Welsh 29 of Erie. He was a wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents George and Frances Welsh, Michael was preceded in death by his brother Jeffrey "Buzz" Welsh, his niece Jennifer Jordan, and his nephew Jacob Becker.

Michael was a graduate of Jeff tech in building trades. He drove coal trucks early in his career and retired after 31 years of service at A. Anthony & Sons Concrete, where he established an amazing family.

Michael loved the outdoors and family time. Some of his favorite pastimes include: camping, fishing, hunting, shooting with his buddies, skydiving, riding his paraplane, and hiking up to "the top of the world".

Michael would want to be remembered by his ability to light up a room with his quick- witted humor, his love for squirrel and crow hunting, his love for his A. Anthony & Sons family, being the best camping buddy, his love for polka and bluegrass music, making the best mountain pies, and being the best father, brother, son, and friend anyone could ask for.

Michael was a hero who gave the gift of life to 3 recipients who now have a second chance to full fill their dreams and experience the blessings of life, just as he did.

A service will not be held but a Celebration of Life will be held for Michael at a later date.
