OS1 Zink was my boot camp Company Commander in 1979. I have thought about him many times over the years. What I learned from him was so valuable throughout my 20 year Navy career. Bless his family.

Our condolences for all the family. Mike is surely going to be missed. Our family has been remembering all the escapades we had with the zink boys as we were growing up!
Mike has left us too soon but we have many memories. From the Ahearn family.

Mike's obituary says it all. He was a special friend and co-worker. I had the blessing of not only knowing Mike but his entire family.
There were numerous occasions I was invited to join family events, they were like family.
Mike always spoke of his family with pride and it was obvious he was a good husband, father, grandfather and trusted friend.
He was a friend I'll never forget.

Remembering a great guy from our days in Charleston on the USS ROBERT G BRADLEY (49)
My hubby was an OS as well and worked for and with Mike. He always had a smile and a kind word. His wife Barb was a wonderful friend and Big help with my 1st baby, Tiffany. Clifford and Bobby were fun to be around too. Hugs to all of you and so very sorry for the loss of your husband and dad. Hold tight to your memories! With deep love and sympathies Scott & Sally
