My sincere condolonces to the family. Mr. Gratton used to come to my father's restaurant, the Del Rio on Rideau St. I'll always remember the article he wrote in the Sun when he discovered that our restaurant had closed. Rest in peace, Mr. Gratton, there is a pizza waiting for you in Heaven.

Aurevoir cher ami, confrère: être d'exception avec qui c'était tellement le fun travailler, discuter et changer le monde. Je garde de très beaux souvenirs, très humains. Michel avait l'intelligence humaine faisant de lui quelqu'un qu'on se rappellera toujours.

J'ai bien connu la famille Gratton, il y a plusieurs années déjà. J'ai surtout connu le père, Jean-Jacques. J'ai toujours trouvé Michel un gars dynamique et impressionnant par sa façon de jouer avec les mots, soit par son sens de l'humour que j'apprécais beaucoup ou par sa façon d'écrire. Je suis très attristée de son départ pour un autre monde. Un monde où son père et sa mère l'ont accueilli à bras souverts. J'aimais beaucoup Michel mais je sais aussi que son père l'aimait encore plus, et l'admirait beaucoup.
Je remercie Michel pour tout ce qu'il nous a laissé lors de son passage avec nous. À mes yeux, c'étais un homme important, intelligent, sensible, passionné et loyal envers ceux qu'il aimait.
C'est en pensant à lui que je fais un don à la Maison Fraternité.

J’ai appris avec tristesse le décès de Michel. C’était un collègue de travail qui nous faisait rire avec ses histoires de la route en journalisme et en politique. C’était aussi quelqu’un qui était toujours présent pour ses amis et collègues qui avaient besoin de son aide. Son travail acharné pour l’Hôpital Montfort ne sera jamais oublié. Mes plus sincères condoléances à toute la famille.
