MICHELLE ABADIR-HALLOCK

ABADIR-HALLOCK--Dr. Michelle. Dr. Michelle Christine Abadir- Hallock, age 59, of Mamaroneck NY, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2023, after an almost ten-year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Born in New York City, Michelle earned her Bachelor of Science at SUNY Purchase and received her MD at the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University. After her residency in Dermatology and Dermatological Surgery at Albert Einstein Medical College, Michelle became a staff member teaching surgery to dermatology residents. In partnership with her beloved mother, Dr. Dale Abadir, Michelle practiced general and cosmetic dermatology at Abadir Associates and Advanced Dermatology, PC for 30 years, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. Michelle was a supporter of other women with breast cancer and a Breast Cancer Alliance, Board Member. She also staunchly advocated for New York's Medical Aid in Dying Act - the right to leave the world on your own terms. An active member of many medical associations (the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, and American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery), she also volunteered her time doing skin cancer screenings and raising prevention awareness. Michelle was predeceased by her sister, Tanya Abadir and her birth mother, Ann Abadir. She is survived by her husband, Peter Hallock; their sons, Will and Dell Hallock; her parents, Drs. Adel and Dale Abadir; her brothers, Dr. A. Ramsey Abadir (Tara), Dr. Edward Abadir (Stacey) and Dr. Alexander Abadir (Charlotte); in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
