Michelle Ballenger (Ryan), 50, formerly of Medford Lakes, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, June 3, 2018.
Born in West Orange, NJ, Michelle was raised in Mt. Vernon, NJ, resided in Medford Lakes, NJ for 15 years, before moving to Marlton, NJ five years ago. She was a member of the Medford Lakes Woman’s Volleyball Team, and a parishioner at the Church of the Holy Eucharist in Tabernacle, NJ.
She is survived by her parents, Robert and Miriam Ballenger; four daughters and a son-in-law, Katherine Ryan, Nicole Ryan, Erin (Ryan) and Timothy Hurst, and Kelly Ryan; previously married to Frank Ryan; three sisters, Anna Marie Duerr (George), Elaine Jackson (Kelly), and Sharon Feeley (Jimmy); three grandchildren, Hayleigh, Alyson and Aubrey Hurst; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, June 8, 2018, from 6-8PM, and again on Saturday, June 9, from 10-11AM, at the Church of the Holy Eucharist, 520 Medford Lakes Rd., Tabernacle, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11AM, at the church.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Michelle’s memory to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
Arrangements are by the Mathis Funeral Home, Medford, NJ.

Michele was always cheerful and friendly when she visited for occasions Erin was connected with. Erin's strength is reflected in Michele's training. She will be missed.

My life, our family's life, was better because Michelle was a vital part of it ! She leaves behind many happy memories and a legacy of her love that will live on through her children & grandchildren. Words cannot express the pain at her loss .Her battle was a courageous one which she handled with grace ,strength and a positive outlook.Much love and deepest sympathy.
