Miguel medina Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 28, 2024.
Miguel Medina, known affectionately as Papi, was called to his eternal rest on January 24, 2024, at the age of 83 in Wilmington, Delaware. Born on September 30, 1941, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Miguel's life was a testament to humility, gratitude, and a profound respect for the sanctity of creation.

A man of quiet strength and unwavering faith, Miguel lived a life characterized by gentle words and steadfast commitment to his beloved family. He was a beacon of guidance for his children and grandchildren, embodying the virtues of patience and perseverance. His work ethic, honed at Franco Manufacturing, was a reflection of his deep sense of responsibility and his belief in the dignity of labor.

Miguel's educational journey began at Martin Luther King High School, where the seeds of his future achievements were planted. His career was marked by diligence and purpose, as he sought not only to provide for those he loved but also to contribute meaningfully to the world around him.

Away from the demands of work, Miguel found solace and joy in visiting Atlantic City and reveling in the laughter of comedy shows. These simple pleasures were but a mirror of the joy he found in the wonders of life and the company of those he cherished.

As we prepare to bid farewell to Miguel, a graveside memorial service will be held at New York Marble Cemetery, where loved ones will gather in solemn remembrance of a life well-lived. Ms. Jones Funeral Services of Brooklyn, New York, will extend their compassionate care to ensure Miguel's memory is honored with the reverence it deserves.

He leaves behind a legacy of love in his devoted wife, Pura Medina; his daughter, Marilyn Roman; his son, Miguel Medina the third; and his treasured grandchildren, Yesenia Sudler, Amanda Carrero, and Marilyn Medina. Their lives have been richly blessed by his presence, and his spirit will continue to guide them.

In this moment of parting, let us give thanks for the gift of Miguel's life and the lessons he imparted. May his soul be embraced by the Almighty's love and find everlasting peace in the company of the angels.
