Mildred McIntyre Obituary
Velma Mildred McIntyre, 103, of Evans, WV, passed away November 4, 2022 at Mountain View Care Center, Ripley.
She was born August 8, 1919 on Cow Run, Cottageville, WV the daughter of the late George Thomas and Corda Minerva (Miller) Sayre. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. McIntyre; infant daughter Pauline; grandchildren, Justin McIntyre, Sarah McIntyre, James Sargent, Larry Sargent and his wife, Trish; brothers, Loraine Sayre and Londus Sayre and sister, Lena Sayre
Mildred was a homemaker and former employee of the Sewing Factory and Care Inn. She was a charter member of the Evans Church of God and enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and tending to her flowers.
Survivors include her children, Evelyn Sargent, Paul McIntyre (Sibyl) and Michael McIntyre (Marquita); grandchildren, Pam, Melvin and Holly; great grandchildren, Tommy, Amy, Amber, Bethany, Noah and Emily; great great grandchildren, Olivia, Nathaniel, Alyssa, Braden Gabriel and Kobe; great great great grandchildren, Sophia and Riley; step great grandchildren, Elisha, Eian, Kaiden and Aubrie; brothers, Brycle “Tink" Sayre and Howard “Sang” Sayre.
Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with Pastor Benjamin Riggleman officiating. Burial will follow in the Creston Cemetery, Evans. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday November 7, at the funeral home.
