Minerva Marie King

King Minerva Marie King, age 67, of Minneapolis, MN died gracefully after a courageous battle Wed. Aug 25, 2004. Minerva was a graduate of Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA. She was employed with Zion Baptist Church Pre-school, as the director. King Supermarket family owned business and Pillsbury Neighborhood Center as a lead Pre-Kindergarten teacher. She retired December 2001. Minerva was survived by her husband, LeRoy King, Sr. of Minneapolis, 3 children, LeRoy King Jr., of Minneapolis, Kenneth R. King Sr., & daughter-in -law, Jackie King of Brooklyn Center, MN, Sonita King-Onchoke & son-in-law, Thomas Onchoke of Brooklyn Center; 6 grandchildren, Kenneth R. King, Jr., Imari A. King-Shaw, Jaida M. King, Lekeian J. Warren-King, Johnathon A. King and Jessie A. King, deceased.; 2 sisters, Willie Mae Millage, Los Angeles, CA, Betty Risinger, Tupelo, MS; 2 brothers, Eddie Jackson, Los Angeles, CA and Samuel Jackson, Natchitoches, LA. She was a member of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of the Choir, served on the Board of Chrisitan Education and also the Board of Missions. She loved her church family. Viewing will be held from 9am-11am at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 3355 4th Street N on 8/30/04. Homegoing services will be held at 11 am August 30, 2004 at FMBC.
