Mohan Rathod

Mohan Ratansingh Rathod, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2025 at age 77. He embodied the pioneering ethos of forging his own extraordinary path in life. He was born in 1947 in the small village of Logaon, in Maharashtra India. And true to his proud Banjara Gypsy roots, he sought his destiny no matter how far away it would take him. He left his native village to attend college in Bombay. He then immigrated to the Middle East, where he worked for the MInistry of Finance in Bahrain. And then he immigrated a second time, settling in America in 1990, where he developed a diverse collection of business interests. Along the way, his proudest accomplishment was to help others on their life journey, from his family and the greater Banjara community back in India, to the community of Desi expats in Florida who he loved dearly. He had a phenomenal thirst for life, characterized by a willingness to take bold chances in pursuit of his dreams. And he loved people, cultivating lifelong relationships with a ready smile and a booming laugh. His indomitable spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife of fifty-two years, Suvarna Rathod, his daughter, Amrapali Yannette, and son, Mohit Rathod.
