Monica J. Yancey

Monica Jean Bundschuh Yancey , 51, passed away in the late hours of January 28, 2023.  It is believed it was caused from trying to get dressed up in all her very expensive costume jewelry to walk the dog while having a smoke break.
     It is quite unfortunate to say that during the evening of January 28th, 2023, she left behind a hell of a lot of stuff to her husband and kids who have no idea what to do with it.  So if you’re looking for a tiara, feather boa, infant toys, massive amounts of porcelain trinkets, glass dishes, clothing ranging from the size she wished to be, the size she was, and the size she used to be (she was a fashion diva) and over a dozen pillows.
You should wait the appropriate amount of time and get in touch. Tomorrow would be fine.  This is not an ad for a garage sale, but an obituary for a great Woman, Mother, Friend, and bad ass Bitch if needed; born on September 1, 1971 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Nancy Marie Henninger.  Monica,  at a young age was world-renowned for her mouth,  not holding back her opinion and a knack for telling it like it is.
She was very good at oversharing. She always told you whatever was on her mind even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear.  Her extensive vocabulary was more than highly proficient at knowing more curse words than most people learned in a lifetime.  She liked four letter words as much as she loved stray animals, sweet tea and creamsicles.  After moving all over the place as a child, she settled in Trenton, NJ for a while then moved to Philadelphia.  During that time she gave birth to five babies. Then she met the man of her dreams, Garnet Yancey. 
They were married and had two more kids because five was not enough.  Head over heels Monica and Garnet were off and running.
From the law that is.  Just kidding!  With two young kids and hopes for a better life they settled in Goose Creek, South Carolina.  Monica helped hundreds of stray animals and people. Monica always a caregiver, the kind to put the oxygen mask on others first, and forget about herself, busy smoking until the decline of her own health.
     She will be sorely missed and survived by her husband Garnet Yancey, daughters Victoria Bundschuh, Stephanie Maack, Gaby Anderson, and Marta Yancey; Sons Edwin Calix and Joshua Bundschuh; brothers Jeffrey Bundschuh and Joseph; sisters Ameera Abdulhaqq and Latinya Satillaro, and a host of nieces and nephews.  She was also preceded in death by her mother. 
     Services were held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at the Burns Funeral Home, 1428 E. Columbia Ave., Phila. PA 19125.
