SHILSON, Morley
Peacefully at C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health, Petrolia on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Morley Shilson, 93 years, of Petrolia and formerly of Inwood and Wheatley. Morley will be missed by his wife Marie (nee Whittal), his children Brenda Ruth and John Rogers of Warwick and David Morley Shilson and his wife Sharon Terpstra of Petrolia, his grandchildren John Quentin and Jocelyn Rogers of London, Robert Kendall and Jodenia of Calgary, and Jared Cameron Shilson of Toronto, his great grandchildren Xavier, Arwen, and Jace Rogers, and Sophia and Emmett Rogers. Morley was predeceased by his son Bradford Leroy in 1955. Morley was the son of the late Clarence and Ada Shilson and was the brother of the late Clair (the late Marie) Shilson, the late Leonard (the late Jean) Shilson, the late Wilmot (Verna) Shilson, Ralph (Shirley) Shilson, Gladys (the late Grant) Wharram, Hazel (William) MacMillan, and Muriel (Harold) Wigle. Morley served his country during World War II with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Morley farmed most of his life near Inwood before retiring and moving to Petrolia. A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from the
NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME,
Petrolia.
Rev. Susan Woodhouse of Inwood-Shiloh United Church officiating. Visitors will be received beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. According to Morley's wishes his cremated remains will be buried in McDowell Cemetery, Comber at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to Shiloh-Inwood United Church. Memories, pictures, and condolences may be shared on-line at
