Muriel P. Cramatte

OTEGO - Muriel "Mo" Patricia Cramatte, 84, of Otego, passed on to her heavenly home from natural causes on 13 Jan. 2013, while residing at Otsego Manor.

Mo was born 19 Nov. 1928, in Staten Island, to Charles Pearsall Hart and Gertrude Miriam Cowhig. She spent a joyful childhood and youth along with her brother, George, in their Staten Island home.

Mo graduated from Notre Dame Academy (high school) 29 May 1947.

On 12 Feb. 1949, Mo married Gilbert John Cramatte at Sacred Heart Church in Staten Island. Together they had three children, Pat, Lin, and GX. Mo and Gil moved to Otego in October 1972, to enjoy Gil's retirement.

Mo enjoyed her life as a part-time art teacher when she was younger, but she enjoyed her most precious occupation as wife, mother and homemaker.

Mo and Gil celebrated 65 wonderful years of love, friendship, and togetherness before Gil's passing in May of 2010. Mo then relocated to Otsego Manor in July of 2010, where she has since been surrounded by a staff that has loved and cared for her as though she were a beloved family member.

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mo served as public communications specialist, young women's advisor, and any other responsibilities she was asked to fulfill.

Mo will always be remembered for her sweet disposition, sense of humor, and loving heart. She was blessed with many talents such as her artistic ability and her beautiful handwriting.

Mo is survived by her daughter, Lin (Robert) Stoltz of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and son, Gilbert Xavier "GX" Cramatte (Kelly Ackley) of Otego; along with grandsons, Christopher and Jeffrey Fish of Santa Rosa, Calif.; granddaughter, Nicole (Jeff) Opper; and great-granddaughter, Adelita Opper of Rexburg, Idaho.

Mo was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, George; her husband, Gilbert; and daughter, Patrice Fish of Santa Rosa, Calif.

The family is requesting that donations be made to the Otsego Manor Activities Committee or to the Otego Fire Department, in lieu of flowers.

The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 34 River St., Otego.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at the Bookhout Funeral Home in Otego, with Wilfred Bruno officiating.

Burial will take place in the spring in the Otego Evergreen Cemetery, date to be announced.
