Nancy Cookson

COOKSON, Nancy (nee Marentette) Born December 16, 1952. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy, on June 9, 2008 at the age of 55 years. Loving wife of 28 years to Randy. Loving mother of the late Jason (1980), Kary and husband James Giffen, Sarah and fiance Randy Samrah, Ashley and boyfriend Derek Zillich. Loving Meme of Sean Patrick and Emily Alexis. Predeceased by her parents Alfred Marentette (1976) and Imelda (1980). Beloved sister of Bobbie Bernat (Joe), Margaret Bourque (the late Cam), Joan Squire (Ted), Bonnie Rennie, John Marentette (Barb). Predeceased by sister Elaine Lacroix, April 2008 (Jack). Loving daughter-in-law to Flo Rivard (Don) and the late Earl Cookson (2001). Sister-in-law to Rick Cookson (Enza) and Larry Cookson (Maureen). She will be sadly missed by many cousins, friends, nieces and nephews. Nancy was an employee of Ford Motor Company and a member of CAW Local 200. She loved gardening, traveling, and her two loveable Yorkies, Hannah and Emma. Nancy was a strong courageous woman who fought to the end. Her love of life will always be remembered, as well as her loving smile, warm heart and the love she had for her family. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Wednesday at 8 p.m. Relatives and friends will be received for visitation at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum at Tecumseh Rd. E.) on Thursday, June 12, 2008 from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
