Nancy DOUCET Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 24, 2022.
(nee Olsson)
Passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, March 22,2022, at the Welland Hospital, at 67 years of age. Cherished mother of Josh (Jenna) and Andrea. Cherished Ninnie of grandson Raymond. Loving sister of Cathie Neal (Terry) and Jim Olsson (Candace). Nancy will be lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Dave (2016) and parents Vera (2000) and Murray (2020) Olsson. Nancy held a few different titles over the years but it was when she started her job at the St. Catharines courthouse that she really found her niche. She started part time but worked her way up to Group Leader, a position that truly highlighted her strength as a helpful person. Nancy was a helper by nature, always bringing people together and elevating them. Even when facing her own struggles, she would put everything aside to help anyone that needed it. She had a very caring nature and it was evident in the way she was always there when anyone needed her. She will be genuinely missed by all that she impacted, whether it be the old euchre games in the garage, hosting parties for her kids, hand making costumes for the school plays or casino nights with friends. She made the biggest impact on her children Josh and Andrea and Ninnie will always have a special place in her grandson Raymond's heart whom she had a very special bond with. A private burial has taken place. The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 1 to 5 p.m. Online condolences available at www.cudneyfuneralhome.com.

Dearest Josh and Annie,

I am so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful Mom. She was such a lovely, genuine and kind lady who loved you so much. The years I spent babysitting you both in Dain City were wonderful times I look back upon with a smile and warmed heart. Your parents were both wonderful role models both as people and as parents.
Take comfort in knowing they are together again and you have two glorious angels to guide you through life. My very deepest condolences
