I just learned of Nancy's passing last Sunday when I saw Stephen in Starbucks/Chapters - a place where I had seen him and Nancy as well. Along our individual journeys in life we at times meet people who make a more prominent impression on us than others. Nancy was one of those people. I always looked forward to her appointments knowing I would have a short time to chat with her before the doctor saw her. Easily I recognized how much she adored Stephen and their girls and in spite of the direction hers had taken I recognized also how much she loved life and treasured it. We can learn a lot from people like that. Nancy was a remarkable woman and through our conversations I felt her strength and know I am a better person because of knowing her, even if just for a short time. Stephen and the girls will be in my prayers and Nancy forever in my thoughts. Take care, Karen

Stephen, Taylor and Lauren – Over these last few years since our lacrosse season together I have often thought about Nancy. She had shown amazing courage and strength with her illness even then. Nancy was never one to commit to anything half way and Samantha was lucky enough to experience that first hand. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
