Nancy Lee Jones Hollifield, 73, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023, in Marion.

Nancy was born in McDowell County, N.C. on August 23, 1949, to the late M. Lee Jones and Hester Mae Seagle Jones. She was married to her husband of 53 years, Kenneth Lee Hollifield. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Marion and was active in the civic community. Nancy served on the McDowell County Board of Realtors and was a member of McDowell Chamber of Commerce, Red Hat Society, and Rotary Club of Marion. She enjoyed book club, oil painting, playing Bridge, and entertaining family and friends in her home. Nancy loved Marion and was proud to call it home.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by three sisters, twins, Betty & Bobby, and Mary Margaret Poteat.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ken Hollifield; a daughter, Michelle Koon (Fred); a son, Kenny Hollifield (Mary Ruth); a sister, Janice Hall (Jim); a brother, Tony Jones (Marie); and four grandchildren, Rachel, Josh, Claire, and Avery.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 21, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Marion. Pastor Scott Hagaman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11 a.m. prior to the service, at the Church.
