Nancy was born in Eugene, Oregon and graduated from Gervais High School in 1973. She passed away on January 19th, 2014 from complications of Diabetes. She was the 4th of 8 children. Nancy married Jerry Koffler April 20th, 1993 and again May 17th, 2010. Nancy cared for others much of her life. Having no children of her own she was a live-in nanny to many families in the farming community of Brooks, Oregon where she was raised. In 1997 she became a CNA and cared for the elderly. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry and her father William Davis. She is survived by her mother Louise Davis, brothers Billy (Becky), Bruce (Marcia), Mike, Keith (Claudia), Clinton (Deanna) and sisters Brenda Chapman (Patrick), Doris Harris (Ron Berning). And many nieces and nephews she took pride in spoiling. Nancy enjoyed hunting and fishing, writing, talking on the phone, TV game shows and Soaps, day trips to the Casino and most of all going barefoot! When a person passes, we all try to remeber some good things to say. With Nancy, she was truely good. Most of her life was spent caring for others.
From her younger siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins kids, neighbor kids and many more. She would stay weeks or months when needed, and usually for very little or nothing in return. She was single and had no ties for many years. I had not been in touch for many years until a few months ago. She was glad to see me and I am now more glad that I went to a baby shower, as it would be the last time I ever saw her.

I met Nancy when Jerry worked with my husband, now ex. The 4 of us would spend many hours laughing, playing cards and just plain having fun. In the recent past I have not seen as much of Nancy that I wanted to, and now I am at a loss. Nancy was truly a "FRIEND", that no one else could be. She always had an upbeat laugh and knew just what to say and when to say it. Nancy, I will miss you my friend, God bless you and your family.

I'm deeply saddened that I didn't get to see Nancy in my adult years. Yet it is sweet to think back at all the years I did get to enjoy her as a child. She was so kind and loving to me as little girl, that most of the time was lost in emotions. She always loved me. laughed with me, encouraged me, and put candy in my penguin refrigerator. I will cherish all the memories I have of her in my childhood. My deepest sympathy to everyone that was close to Nancy. May you find peace in your hearts through this difficult time.

I remember when aunt nancy helped me with my hair before a horse show, played cards with me, and worked in the fields picking up nuts. She was a kind, loving person and will be greatly missed.
