LaPERLE, Nancy Jean
1936 - 2017
It is with profound sadness that the family of Nancy Jean LaPerle, announces her peaceful passing on Friday, January 13, 2017.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Laurent; sons, Corey (Carol), Kenneth, Kerry (Wanitta), and Rene (Adina); daughter, Eloise; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two imminent new arrivals; brother, Ernie (Eleanor) Tulik; sisters, Betty (Gerry) Karpovich, Joyce (Michael) Spelay, and Jeanette (Alexander) Pobran; sister-in-law, Myrna Tulik; brother- in-law, Chester Zawada; as well as her numerous relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Mary Tulik; brother, Norman Tulik; and sister, Sonya Zawada.
Born on a farm in Buchanan, Saskatchewan, she came to Alberta in 1954 looking for a job. She was hired on with Woodwards Food Floor, where she met and married her life- long husband, Laurent, who also worked for Woodwards. She then acquired a skill as a comptometer operator and worked for Federated Co-Op in Edmonton part-time as she raised her beloved family. Together they bought a home in St. Albert in 1962, which became, and still is, the family home.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Connelly- McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive St. Albert, AB.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff of the University of Alberta Hospital. Your care and support will be remembered.
