Nancy Lydon Obituary

Nancy E. (Russell) Lydon, age 64, of Plymouth, longtime former resident of Scituate passed away peacefully at home September 27th, 2014 surrounded by her family.

She was the beloved wife of Mark A. Lydon, with whom she shared 36 years of marriage.

Devoted mother of Brenda Mazzone & her husband Jeff of Methuen and Bethany Lydon of Plymouth.

Cherished grandmother of Nicholas, Christian, Teddy and Gabriel.

Loving sister of Carl Russell of Marshfield, John Russell of Scituate and the late Edith A. Ladd of Annapolis, MD. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Born in Quincy, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Gertrude (Leighton) Russell. She was a past Mother Advisor for the Rainbow Girls, Scituate Assembly No. 77. During her years of employment, she worked as a seamstress and more recently at Sam's Club in Plymouth and Walmart in Plymouth.

Funeral services will be held from the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate on Friday October 3rd, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Funeral service at Scituate Harbor Methodist Church, 55 First Parish Road, Scituate, MA at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private.

Visiting hours at the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home on Thursday October 2nd, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360 due to the attentive, dignified care they provided to Nancy during her last days.
