Natalie HAJDUK Obituary
(nee Lassiter)
Peacefully, after a short but courageous battle with cancer, Natalie passed away at the age of 48 years.
Natalie is lovingly remembered by her husband, Richard; daughters Brieanna and Haven; stepdaughter, Georgia; her father, Byron Lassiter, and his wife Marlene; three sisters, Collette Lassiter, Allison (Billy) Merry, and Jennifer (Colin) Mizier; brother, Craig Lassiter, and their families. Natalie was predeceased by her mother, Hazel, in 1983.
Prayers will be said at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2012 at Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Anthony, 6103 - 172 Street, Edmonton, where the Liturgy will be said on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, T6G 1Z2.
Natalie's family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation for the excellent care given to Natalie and for the compassion shown to her family by Unit 54 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, 3rd floor at the Cross Cancer Institute, and Unit 43 at the Grey Nun's Hospital.

Natalie, Kelli King and I were great friends in high school. We spent many hours together, laughing, loving and working out each others dramas. I loved watching her skate. She was such a beautiful person and beautiful soul. It has been some time since I have been in Edmonton and thus too long since I saw Natalie. She came into my thoughts last night and I was very sad to find that she has left this plane. I know that she is still able to feel our love as she is no longer limited by our earthly existence. I met Natalie at a small BBQ party in Edmonton in the early 1980s. She was one of the most remarkable people that I have ever met. Immense beauty and poise was my first impression, a sweet smile and a kind heart was the second. Natalie's Family - I met Natalie in high school and then later went on to work with her mom at Dr. Muncey's Office. Natalie was one of those girls in school you wanted to be like - beautiful (even with braces), friendly, smart, nice. Although I didn't connect with her after high school, I have fond memories of her (and her mom). My prayers are with your family.

To the Lassiter family. I was shocked and sadden to find out that beautiful Natalie has passed away. Natalie was a wonderful friend to me, but we drifted apart as our lives moved in different directions. I met Natalie at the Royal Glenora where we figure skated together. Natalie and I also auditioned together for Disney on Ice. Natalie accepted the position and I chose a different path. When Natalie left th show she came to live with me in Jasper, AB. We worked as lift operaters at Marmot in the winter of '84 and had a wonderful time. Natalie was so loving and caring, and I was lucky to have known her. I have the greatest memories of Natalie and the rest of the Lassiters growing up in Forest Lawn. Riding my bike over, then hopping the fence the Sue's to do "gymnastics". Dear Lassiter Family, I'm so sorry to hear the news about Natalie.
