NATALIE WOOD Obituary
Miss Natalie Lauren Wood, 17, beloved daughter of Joseph C. Wood and Leslie Ann Lesoon, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at her residence. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Adam Hilderbrandt officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Our precious Natalie was a senior at Augusta Prep, who loved music. She played piano, guitar, and the violin and had an angelic voice. Her goal was to be a musical therapist. She is survived by her parents, Joseph C. Wood (Elena) and Leslie Ann Lesoon; her grandmother, Deborah Sellers; her grandfather, Edward John Lesoon (Gail); her stepbrother, Kirill Khasanshin; and stepsister, Ksenia Khasanshin; her aunts, Jennifer Marshall (Mike), Stephne Lesoon Bernacki (Anthony), Andrea Lesoon Rice (Brent), and Courtney Louise Lesoon; her uncles, Edward John Lesoon III and Jonathan Alexander Lesoon; and her cousins, Jordan Marshall, Evelyn Owenby, Samantha Jo Bernacki, Olivia Grace Bernacki, Sam Rice, Skylar Rice, Katie Rice, and Bodie Rice. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jerry C. Wood; and grandmother, Toni June Lesoon. Pallbearers will be Eddie Lesoon III, Jonathan Lesoon, Tony Bernacki, Mike Marshall, Jordan Marshall, and Kirill Khasanshin. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Natalie Lauren Wood Memorial Fund at the American Institute for Suicide Prevention at www.afsp.org. Natalie and I went to camp together. She is a few years younger than me but she was also a Galatian. I used to sing songs from west side story to her when we would hang out- her name reminded me of the great Natalie wood who portrayed Maria in the film. She was suh a gift and blessing to be around. I just recently learned of her death and it has shaken me greatly. My sweet Galatian sister gone too soon. May got bless and keep you. May his face shine upon you and may he give you peace.
