Nathan Dahl Obituary

Visit the Legacy Remembers website to view the full obituary.
Nathan K. Dahl, 40, of Dover was a big-hearted, larger than life teddy bear that joined our savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary's Campus. Nate was a gentle soul with so many family and friends who loved him very much. He was born on December 23, 1977 in Rochester to Orv and Janell (Fix) Dahl. On October 28, 2006 he married Robyn Ruhberg and together they had a son, Preston. Nate was currently employed at Active Tool and Die where he worked for over 11 years. He was a member of the St. Charles Moose club. He loved all Minnesota sports teams but most of all loved watching his son play sports. Nate was an avid hunter and fisherman and was instilling this love of the outdoors in Preston. Preston could do anything his dad could do whether working on snowmobiles to setting up their smoker to smoke pork or fish or any number of other meats. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Robyn; son, Preston; parents, Orv and Janell; brother, Nic; nephews, Cameron (godson) and Evan; grandparents, Wayne and Jan Fix; aunts and uncles, Mike (Cathy) Fix (godfather), Donna (Tony) DiCaprio, Sandi (Daryl) Munz, Darlene (Jim) Wilson, Donnie (Susan) Dahl, LouAnn (Steve) Arends, Teresa Haessig (godmother) and Mike Dahl; sister-in-law, Amber Dahl; godchildren Gage "GT" Hansen, Huxley Mueller, honorary godfather to Daltyn "Double D" and Taylyn "Tator Tot" McCready, many cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Orven Dahl Sr. and Pat and Leonard Hissam; and his aunt, Jeri Fix Berger. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service, St. Charles, with Heather E. Klason officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2018 and Tuesday 10 a.m-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to further Preston's future education. Please leave a memory of Nate and view his video when it becomes available at www.hofffuneral.com. Hoff Funeral and Cremation, St. Charles, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Orv, and Janell
There is nothing worse then having to say good by to a child. So many of use have had to do this. We are so lucky that God Put us in a family that brought God in our lives from the time we were born and let us grow up with him threw our lives. I am so sorry you have to go threw this.It will not be easy, but do not forgot God has A plane we do not know what it is. We just believe in him and he will get us threw it.
If tears could build A stairway, and memories A lane, you could walk right up there and bring him home again.
May God bless and keep you and all your family in his arms.

Orv and Phyllis. I'm sorry for your lost. It's never right that a child, no matter what age, should leave us before the parents.
Take care, Steve and Trish Stensrud
