Neil McDONALD Obituary
1936 - 2017
Neil passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 with his beloved wife Sharon, his cherished daughter Neely and his son-in-law Mark by his side. He was ever so proud of his Irish heritage and his parents, WWI vet Alphonse McDonald and his gentle mother Pauline McDonough. He will be sadly missed by his sister Diane, his extended family and faithful friends. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Chapelle Saint-Bernard in Mont- Tremblant followed by burial in the village cemetery. We wish to thank the medical and support staff of the Royal Victoria Hospital oncology and palliative care units for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers a donation in Neil's memory can be made to the Arundel Elementary School (S.W.L.S.B.) breakfast program. (5 School Street, Arundel, Qc, JOT1A0 – care of Jill Earle). His spirit will live on with the birth of his grandson Thomas Neil Engelhardt and the fond memories of happy times we shared. I fought the fight, I finished the race, I kept the faith. We will miss Neil terribly. We will never forget the wonderful Xmas and Thanksgiving turkeys we had together for over 25 yrs. and he was the best carver and gravy maker! Always enjoyed rhe stories of post mountain bike rides. If mud wasn't involved it wasn't a ride. Xmas tree hunts with our daughters were epic! Skiing (big feet) and tennis always fun when Neil was around. We will keep with us all the wonderful memories forever. May he rest in peace.
