Nellie Jackson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 14, 2024.
Nellie Elizabeth Jackson, known affectionately as Belsie, passed away on June 13, 2024, in Sunnyvale, Texas, at the age of 73. Born in Champaign, Illinois, she was a beacon of joy and kindness to all who knew her.

Nellie's warm, infectious smile and considerate nature made her a cherished figure in her community and family. She was always ready to lend a helping hand or an open ear, offering her honest and thoughtful advice without ever expecting anything in return.

A graduate of Rantoul Township High School, Nellie valued education and the doors it could open. Throughout her life, she remained a dedicated family member, deeply loving and supporting her siblings, family members and parents unconditionally.

Nellie is survived by her oldest sister, Monic C. Jackson (Nicky), younger brother Wayne Arnold Jackson, younger sister Grace Veronica Jackson (Gracie), and youngest brother John Stanley Jackson (Johnny). She was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara Ann Shucraft (Jackson) and Leonard Jackson, as well as her brothers William Anthony Jackson (Tony), Leonard Jackson, and Frank L. Jackson Sr. (Frankie).

A memorial service for Nellie will be announced at a later date, providing an opportunity for friends and family to gather in celebration of her remarkable life.
