Obituary

Nellie Olson, 94, of Stephen passed away on June 7th, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren, MN. Nellie (Larson) Olson was born on February 25th, 1912 in Fork Township, the daughter of Nels and Inagaborg (Lundeen) Larson. Nellie attended country school in Fork Township through 8th grade and graduated from Stephen High School. Nellie married Henning Olson of Newfolden January 5th, 1952. They lived in rural Newfolden for 30 years. Henry passed away May 25th, 1981. In 1983 Nellie moved back to Stephen, where she resided until moving into the Good Samaritan Center in Warren on May 21st, 2001. Nellie enjoyed painting, ceramics, quilting and gardening. Nellie belonged and was an active member in the First Lutheran Church of Stephen, American Legion Auxiliary and Senior Citizens. Left to mourn her passing is her sister Inre Welker of Good Samaritan Center, Warren and several sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Erling, Ragn; sisters Ethel (Albert) Johnson, Josephine Anderson. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 9th at 2:00 p.m., First Lutheran Church, Stephen. Visitation will be at the church one hour before the service. Burial will be at Newfolden following the service. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Newfolden, Minnesota. The Adamson-Austin Funeral Home of Stephen is in charge of arrangements.
