Nelma Jean Burns

Nelma Jean Kissel Burns passed away on 9 February, 2014, very peacefully at her home in Roy, Utah. Nelma was born on 12 Sept 1944, in Provo, Utah to Mirl T. Kissel and Lydia Martin Kissel. She was raised in Orem, Utah. Graduating from Orem High School in 1963 She met and married Leonard W. Burns, on the 6 of June 1963 in Provo, Utah. They made their first home in Lincoln, Nebraska, where they were stationed in the U. S. Air Force. Together for over 50 years, she enjoyed making quilts, gardening, embroidery, and raising her Boston Terriers. Nelma was preceded in death by her parents, and her three sons. Gordon Duane Burns, Larry Bret Burns and Gary Len Burns. She is survived by her husband, two sisters, Cora Jane (Mick) Willingham, of Orem, Utah, Jerri Ann Kissel of Heber City, Utah, one daughter, Debbi Ann (Seth) Jaynes of Clearfield, Utah. A viewing will be held on 14 February 2014 at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. Interment will be a Graveside service at 12:00 p.m. Friday, 14 Feb 2014 in the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East.
