Neville PLATT Obituary
1938 - 2013
Born in Oldham, UK. Died peacefully at home on February 26, succumbing to COPD with which he co-existed with acceptance and frustration for 15 years. Survived by his "bestest friend" and wife, Winifred. Will be missed by family in the UK, and Malta. He was recruited by the Canadian government, arriving in Ottawa in 1967, where he met and married Winifred. They established themselves; learning, living and contributing to the Canadian way of life. A man who loved life, words and books. A "Gathering for the Sharing of Memories" will be held at Beechwood Cemetery on Sunday, March 3 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donation to Elizabeth Bruyère Palliative Care Consultation Service. Thanks go to Beppi Bertrand, Dr. Ponka, Maryse Bouvrette, Martine Boisvert and the rest of the team who were invaluable on this journey.
